Role, Scope, and Impact
· Marketing Team of the Marketing Department is a vital role in promoting the work and mission of GDC. Marketing Team leader leads a community-oriented, strategic, and creative team to represent GDC and coordinates and produces all marketing materials that represent GDC. As GDC aims to reach out to the global diaspora in all parts of the world through working with our member diaspora organizations, the Marketing Team ensures our impact and engaging approaches towards supporting them are effectively communicated and felt. The Marketing Team is also the strongest backup for all teams in the Marketing Department and hence the Team leader role will be expected to know the work procedures and processes of the other departmental teams.
Job Purpose
· To offer leadership to the Marketing Team by coordinating and maintaining a digital and social media presence that is in line with the Global Diaspora Confederation’s work and mission.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Liaising with other teams to focus on planning and execution of marketing strategies, including digital, collateral, public relations, and event support
· Leading the team to back up other departmental teams when required
· Creating and delivering marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead generation, and digital marketing; digital publishing, marketing collateral tools, templates, and training
· Building GDC brand awareness
· Coordinating marketing resources and capacity planning
· Coordinating marketing budget with Finance Team
· Managing and developing all GDC social media platforms with frequent updates
· Increasing membership of diaspora organizations and updating the GDC mailing list
· Proposing and developing new products and services to support the global diaspora
· Coordinating and creating GDC annual impact report
· Offering more opportunities for strong team members to perform
Expected skillset (Qualifications) including but not limited to:
· Trustworthy, humble, genuine, responsive, charismatic, innovative, persuasive
· Strong Leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication, organizing, presentation, analytical, critical reasoning, and editing skills
· Graphic design skills
· Good report writing and presentation skills
· Critical thinking and problem-solving ability

· Strong planning and organizing skills including a thorough and methodical approach and the ability to prioritize
· Flexibility/Responsiveness
· Ability to work well with others
