GDC vision
The Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC) is the world’s largest diaspora-led civil society organization to connect and empower Diaspora Organizations at the global level. GDC aspires to build an inclusive movement where all Diaspora Organizations can be supported, belong to, discover and realize their ambitions in order to achieve peace, unity, and social and economic advancement for all.
Role Scope and impact
You will be at the frontline to meet and identify passionate volunteers for GDC. In other words, how volunteers see and become interested in joining GDC will determine their volunteer experience, which begins with you.
This role is crucial to the success of volunteer quality selection and retention. A successful talent acquisition process helps the GDC develop a good pool of talent and enables increased productivity.
Description of duties:
- Organizing volunteer recruitment campaigns, meetings, and other promotional work
- Develop an effective talent acquisition pipeline and a global talent pool for GDC
- Designing and organizing assessment centers/interviews for team leaders, members, and associates
- Preparing and updating volunteer specifications for GDC Secretariat teams
- Assisting volunteer applicants throughout their application process
- Securing and verifying the applicant's information from their LinkedIn profile.
- Sending an exit interview form upon termination or program completion, gathering feedback regarding the GDC.
- Covering country or even regional recruitment work
- Liaising with and consulting other HR verticals and other teams when required
- Efficiently managing applicants’ applications and inquiries without delays

Expected skillset (Qualifications)
-You are the role model for all future volunteers to shape how they see volunteering at GDC e.g. passive or proactive, positive or careless attitude, the meaning of long term volunteering at GDC
- Trustworthy, reliable, responsive
- Efficiency, engaging, positive
- Can manage and make time to meet deadlines
- Able to make effective decisions
- Good communication skills to liaise with other teams.
- Good analytical skills and keen eyes for talents
- Good event organizing and marketing skills
- 2-8 years of HR experience, we also welcome any applicants who are interested in pursuing HR career or have limited work experience. Specific work experience is not required but a proactive attitude to learn and commit is crucial
