Role, Scope and Impact
· Healthcare is a standalone department at GDC with only one overall team – Healthcare Team. The Healthcare Team Leader will use all possible life and professional experiences to lead GDC to wherever our diaspora needs help. Whether it is on promoting mental health awareness or mobilizing global resources for our Covid-19 outreach work, the Healthcare Team leader is a very meaningful and important role in diaspora communities in need. As the Healthcare Team of GDC, you will need more than medical qualifications and experience. We look for leadership attributes, project management skills, and can-do plus know-how spirits in order to deliver our lifesaving goals in this very challenging time.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Researching and understanding global diasporas’ needs on health
· Producing solutions to health challenges faced by global diaspora in need
· Leading the team to prepare regular health updates
· Delivering health awareness activities for global diaspora
· Supervising GDC healthcare projects across the world
· Advising on the global strategies of GDC Healthcare Department
· Building the infrastructure of the department
· Liaising with medical partners, universities, and vendors to further GDC work
· Offering more opportunities for strong team members to perform
Expected skillset (Qualifications) including but not limited to:
· Trustworthy, humble, genuine, responsive, can-do, and available
· Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge in different countries’ healthcare systems
· Technical skills for healthcare
· Strong emotional and cultural intelligence
· At least 8 years of management experience in the healthcare industry
