Lolla Nur is a journalist, communications consultant, multidisciplinary artist and community development professional. Her regions of interest are Africa and the Middle East. She has a degree in journalism and political science with focus on Africa and development, a certificate in public policy analysis from LSE, a certificate in political journalism from Georgetown and on track to receive an executive masters in public administration (focus on international policy). She has over a decade of experience in media, storytelling, diaspora advocacy, entrepreneurship, intercultural and interfaith diplomacy and cross-cultural understanding. She founded the East African Diaspora Artists Initiative in 2017 to respond to narratives about African diaspora communities in the Midwest US. EADAI’s mission is to create spaces for belonging and awareness for African and non-African diasporas in the US and beyond.
