Serap Fišo is a PhD candidate, and teaching assistant at International University of Sarajevo. She has been actively teaching the social science courses such as Sociology, Political Sociology, New Social Movements, Law and Ethics and World History since 2014. She is also a freelance writer, with a special interest migration, and sociological issues in the Balkan and Turkey where she has been extensively travelling. Her major interests are composed of migration, and international migration in the Balkans with special emphasis on the engendering. She is currently working on a narrative combining elements of personal and family history of new immigrant community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
