Montso Lebitsa is “Director: Technical and Operations” and manages the Lerumo Engineering Gauteng Office.
Montso has more than 20 years post-graduate experience working in multi-national joint ventures of consulting engineers and dealing with major international construction companies in Lesotho, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and in the UK.
Montso has vast experience in business development, project execution, project management, geotechnical engineering, trenchless technology planning and design, hard-rock tunnelling, soft- ground tunnelling, shaft sinking, design, construction management, contract administration, commissioning, asset management and revaluation and claims adjudication.
The major involvements include Design Engineer for several Combined Sewer Outfall (CSO) systems, Design Engineer for rail-crossing for Dublin Port Tunnel, Project Engineer for tender design of the twin-bored Dockland Light Rail-Woolwich extension tunnel across Thames River, Resident Engineer for Matsoku Tunnel and Weir of the LHWP Phase 1B. Design Engineer and Resident Engineer for soft-ground Durban Harbour Services Tunnel, Senior Tunnel Engineer for the design of the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link, Senior Tunnel Design Engineer for the Feasibility Study of the 38km tunnels for the LHWP Phase 2 and Chief Engineer responsible for planning, managing and design of the New Overvaal Tunnel of the Richards Bay Coal Line (Transnet Capital Projects).
