Mark has been active in the Albanian Diaspora since 1992. He is the chair of the Massachusetts Albanian American Society in Boston, on the Advisory Board of Germin in Kosovo (a leading Albanian Diaspora organization), and is in the process of establishing the Global Albanians Foundation to promote Albanian Diaspora philanthropy. He has been, and is still, engaged in a number of other Albanian organizations, too. He has lived in Albania working as an independent consultant, worked for the World Bank in Albania and Washington D.C. as an energy and environmental economist, and served as a Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, and did his undergraduate degree in Economics and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
