Joel is an experienced development professional who has worked for over 7 years with well known organisations in the humanitarian field. Joel is the focal point for diaspora engagement and labour migration activities at IOM Guinea. To this end, he led the first ever Guinean Diaspora Engagement Forum which led to the establishment of the Haut Conseil des Guinéens établis à l'étranger, a body set up by the government to manage, interact with and engage the Guinean Diaspora community to participate in the development of the country. Joel is also a former member of the Guinean diaspora as worked as a member of the local diaspora community while in Ghana. He has extensive expertise in migration and diaspora engagement activities, with a particular focus on governance and migration management issues, as well as project management. Joel has excellent communication skills and strong expertise in capacity building.
