Applying to join the IDIASPORA has several similarities with my past experience and studies; and My final year project was on American Foreign Policy Relationship with Africa during President Donald Trump’s Era from 2016- 2021 which was a very remarkable journey in academic line towards discussing and presenting ways to strengthen foreign relations and sustaining accountancy with Africa. I found great desire and admiration in administrative, human rights, international relations, legal and analysing field that requires designing good policies and conduct for the wellbeing of humanity. It is needed and recommended that fields of studies and researches should demonstrate the necessity of its aspect to humanity, which can easily proffer solution to germane problems going on the contemporary society. The world needs tactical, creative and analytical thinkers to emerge in proffer solutions to the societies. As the world changes every second, it opens to more opportunities of interaction with determined experts who are zealous in making changes to issues. My desire of administration in the discipline started during my undergraduate for purpose of standard governance and administrations, international legal affairs, diplomacy, standard economic restructuring, principles of adequate and standard negotiations; definitely for all round development at localities, national and global spheres.
During my undergraduate days, my act of administration started when I was appointed as the General Secretary of the Literary Society in my school to commence my administration at my second year in my undergraduate course; my duties entailed several aspects in the society like working together with the President and the executive members of the council, I was organizing and brainstorming programs involving adequate literacy for students which makes us very versatile. I was also known as the voice of the society. I was given several tasks in the society to accomplish though it looked highly tasking but it was accomplished. The society helped me gain a lot of experiences in the terms of administration and organization. As the General Secretary, I also administered the system of the society’s performance in all spheres with the governing council and the members of the society. I do take good tracking records of activities, participation and development through the effective of Microsoft Excel Spread Sheet.
A year after I was appointed Financial Secretary of the society and was given the task of financial flows and control of the society during my third and fourth year in the University, having written financial statements, records and proposals basically for the defined interests of the society. I also participated in the debate and literary activities just to improve myself in creativity, tactical and critical reasoning, because we discuss and elaborate on several issues affecting the nation and global society for the purpose of enriching myself in diverse knowledge different from my specialization and for the purpose of having a deeper understanding of the reasons of attending a university, which is not just for your specialization alone but the diverse system of acquiring knowledge. Still during my second year, I was awarded as the Eloquent Male of the Year 2018 of Crawford University by the Students’ Representative Council of Crawford University in 2018.
During my third year in my undergraduate, I was been elected Vice President of the National Association of Political Science Students, Crawford University Chapter, Crawford University, Nigeria. This helped me understand a broader aspect of governance and administration which entails specific for the interest of the students in the Union, and that was my specific purpose of contesting and coming into the governing board. My specific duty as the Vice President of the association was to assist the President to carrying various policies basically for the interest of the association. During my tenure, I proposed several educative policies basically for the interest society; and at that moment; the first ever literary discussion to engage the students in intensive literary discussions. After my tenure of a year, I was still retained as an executive member of the society, to support the society in further mandatory activities needed to be achieved. I was nominated by the governing council of the society unknowingly as one of the academicians of the year nominees of the department of political science and international relations.
I also participated in a program to enhance my knowledge as a student of international relations, which is known Model United Nations. This program was my first Model United Nations organized by the Eclectic Model United Nations, India in 2020, and I participated in the program as a delegate of the United Nation Security Council, which helped me identify how security issues and policies are been controlled and formulated.
In my daily observations looking at the administrative and governing conduct of my country, it urges me to study in the global sphere which has a very strong and sound perspective of administration especially when it comes through national interest and foreign policies and to focus more in everything that portrays administration and governance in all sectors like the international law, diplomatic, political, economic, bureaucracy, technological and socio-cultural aspects. Knowing full well that the systematically aspect of administration is highly imbedded in the field of International Relations which has a lot of quality and standard legal and administrative policies that can correct and amend administrative maladies in all sectors; it is now highly required that the younger generations are to study, research, participate, suggest, present and implement policies that can lead to administrative greatness and create intensive means of global development and peaceful co-existence.
The main reason why the world suffers unneeded crises is the lack of understanding of global cooperation, which is far beyond the contemporary understanding of States fighting to promote their various national values and interest; which can still be achieved with tactical and critical analysis on their mode of interaction been employed. This field also has a broader scale of proffering solutions to economic crises in the national and global scale for the interests of the masses though it is insatiable.
