Somos de acá or Whe are from here. It is a series of 40 polaroid pictures made in the year 2021 by the artist Andrés Parra, better known as Nia De Indias.. The main goal was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the artist migration from Colombia to Chile, gathering a group of Colombian families, visiting their homes, and interviewing them to highlight their personal stories as immigrants, no matter their social class, gender identity, age, sexual orientation or how they arrived, whether it was looking for new life opportunities or working for a foreign company. Andrés migrated from Colombia with his parents, and it is important to show his diaspora as a positively contribute to Chilean society. Finally, all photos are accompanied by the story printed on a Colombian passport page of each family, making it easier for the viewer to understand and empathize with each of them.
