The objectives of the study were to contribute to a better understanding of the contributions made by Lesotho's diaspora members to the human development in their home country; to provide evidence‐based information to inform programmes and policies aimed at sustaining and enhancing the involvement of Basotho diaspora members; to look beyond the impact of the financial flows in order to better seize and benefit from the social, cultural, human capital and technical potential of engaging Basotho diaspora members.
