Description
GIZ opens a call for project ideas to Syrian civil society organisations, initiatives, and associations who promote civic engagement in the following thematic areas:
- Leadership
- Women empowerment
- Youth empowerment
- Advocacy and media
The Takamul* Small Grants Fund aims at strengthening the cooperation among Syrian civil society inside Syria and in the diaspora. Project ideas should enable civil society actors to implementinitiatives building capacities of civil society jointly. Successful grantees will receive a combination of financial and organizational development support.
The call for applications is open from 3rd of January 2022 until 14th of February 2022.
Who can apply?
Syrian organizations which are registered as non-profit organizations and provide over a statute mission and a proven track record of at least two years of experience in the implementation of projects.
Funding ceiling
Projects with a duration of up to 12 months can be supported with a maximum volume of 60,000 EUR. The overall volume may be increased if several organizations apply jointly.
Can an organization apply for more than one thematic focus area in the same concept note?
The organization should clearly address and explicitly state in the concept note one of the four thematic areas listed above. If the concept note addresses two thematic areas or more, please describe potential linkages/synergies.
