IOM Sierra Leone launched Diaspora Agribusiness, to utilize SL Diaspora for country development through investment.  Sierra Leone is the time of development phase, but almost all of business sectors faces funding resources. IOM try to utilize Diaspora for encouraging remittance/ investment to home country.

The panel consisted  a mix of actors in the open data and technology for the agriculture sector who explored the importance of data in agribusiness and of regulating the benefits data. The panel also emphasized the importance on ensuring measures for a return on investment for releasing data as this can influence the quality of data made accessible within a given sector or country.
