This report summarizes the key information shared during the four regional consultations held onSeptember 25 and 27. The objective of this report is to update key partners on the progress made duringthe consultative process aimed at establishing the Global Diaspora Policy Alliance.

With support from the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has concluded the implementation of the fourth and final phase of the project titled “Optimizing the engagement of diaspora for alternative approaches to safer shelters and settlements in disaster preparedness, response and risk reduction” (hereafter, the Safer Shelters project).

We are particularly excited about the 2023 Global Diaspora Virtual Exchanges, which have been a space for engagement with diaspora members, diaspora organizations and diaspora leaders. This Migration Governa

This Migration Governance Indicators (MGIs) profile presents a summary of well-developed areas of migration governance in the Philippines as well as areas with potential for further development, as assessed through the MGIs. The MGIs are a standard set of approximately 90 indicators to assist countries in assessing their migration policies and advance the conversation on what well-governed migration might look like in practice.
