Bio

My personal experience as a refugee from Eritrea, raised in Kenya before resettling in the U.S., has shaped my passion for advocating for migrant and diaspora communities. I hold a Master’s in International Development and dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Political Science, focusing on migration and displacement. My professional experience includes working with refugee and immigrant communities through internships at the International Rescue Committee and conducting research on migration-related issues.

I am motivated to join iDiaspora because I believe in the transformative power of diaspora communities to foster development and bridge connections between countries. I am eager to contribute my skills in research, advocacy, and cross-cultural communication to support iDiaspora’s mission and help advance its impactful initiatives.
