Law No. 04/L-095 on Disaspora and Migration of Kosovo
The purpose of this law is preservation and cultivation of national identity, language, culture and education of diaspora members and their relations with institutions of Kosovo. This law, also, aims to help in organization of the diaspora in various countries where they live and help, encourage and develop inter-cultural relations between Kosovo and countries in which the diaspora are present.

Politique Nationale de la Diaspora de la Republique du Burundi
La Politique Nationale de la Diaspora entend créer les condictions les plus favorables pour renforcer les liens et le dialogue entre le Gouvernement de la Républic du Burundi et la diaspora burundaise (les Burundais établis à l'étranger ainsi que leurs descendants), qui y vit pour quelque raison que ce soit et garde des liens avec son pays d'origine.

National Diaspora Policy of the Republic of Burundi
The National Diaspora Policy intends to create the most conducive conditions so as to strengthen ties and dialogue between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Burundian diaspora (Burundians living abroad and their descendants) who live there for whatever reason and keep ties with their country of origin. The policy aims, firstly, at strengthening confidence in order to consolidate unity and national cohesion and, secondly, to strengthen the multifaceted contribution of the diaspora to the development of the country.

Law for Diaspora - Albania
The object of this law is to define the rules for: a) The competencies of the state authorities responsible for relations with the Diaspora; b) The method of maintaining, strengthening and realizing diaspora links with the country of origin; c) The establishment of the Diaspora Coordination Council; ç) The award of national prizes in the field of relations between the country of origin and the diaspora; d) The preservation and cultivation of national, linguistic, cultural and educational identity of diaspora members and their linkage with the state institutions in their country of origin. <

International Dialogue on Migration N°22 - Diasporas and Development: Bridging Societies and States
This first IOM high-level dialogue on diasporas was an experiment. 55 ministers and minister-level officials from all parts of the world sat together for two days and discussed issues on the growing global diaspora and the contributions they bring to development. Participants were able to exchange views on how to strengthen political and institutional commitment as a basis for designing and implementing policies and programmes of diaspora engagement relevant to their countries’ respective circumstances and needs.
