Since 2000, IOM has been producing world migration reports. The World Migration Report 2020, the tenth in the world migration report series, has been produced to contribute to increased understanding of migration throughout the world.

La Women Diaspora 4dev Academy est une initiative mise en œuvre par le bureau belge de l’Organisation internationale pour les migrations (OIM) avec le soutien financier de la Coopération belge au développement. L’objectif global du projet est de contribuer au renforcement des associations -principalement composées de femmes- de la diaspora africaine afin de soutenir leur engagement dans le développement de leurs pays d’origine.

The diaspora entails great potential for Albania’s development, however, the challenge for the stakeholders is to create an environment that encourages and supports diaspora’s engagement to the development of the home country. The objective of this programme is to contribute to enhancing the engagement of Albanian diaspora to the development of the country. In September 2015, the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda was adopted, and for the first time, migration was included in mainstream global development policy. With the objective of communicating how IOM identifies migration in the 2030 Agenda to stakeholders and the wider public, and to shed light on the complex challenges and opportunities that accompany the migration-related targets, this IOM publication aims to showcase how different areas of migration are addressed in the Sustainable Development Goals.
