Diasporas helping their communities: what is it like to assist communities during a crisis?
these photos were taken during a graduation of women attending social and economic empowerment program in south kivu ,DRC, The program is run by women for women int to empower vulnerable women living in post conflict zone such as drc , rwanda irac , afganistan and iraq. after 12 months of training in social and economic empowerment skill and vocation training such as soap making , basket making, small business and part of social we have women right, household decision making, family's planning , community support, networking, women support, advocate for women right. as freelancer photographer i was amazed by what they are doing then i decided to take these snapshot to expose how far they are coming and how happy they are now during the graduation . it was a special day to put happiness on they face after long time facing sadness. it was amazing to see them
