Kabul Polytechnic University (KPU) is an Afghan public engineering higher education and research institution which was established on 13th of October 1963 in the 5th district area of Kabul city. The university aims to boost the national economic development and to serve the society through conducting academic research and providing quality engineering training on national and international levels. Currently the university has eight faculties comprising of twenty-three degree departments and eleven general education departments. The programs offered by KPU are in the field of civil engineering, construction management and urban planning, hydraulics and water resources engineering, transportation engineering, chemical engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering, geology and mining engineering, geomatics and cadastres, and computer engineering. - Training Faculty on Advance Research Methods and Analytical Techniques
- Training Faculty on Education-Technology Utilization and E-Learning
IV. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Main tasks include:- Teaching, Coaching, and Mentoring in the abovementioned fields
- Assisting the University in improving quality assurance mechanisms and making the relevant programs ready for international accreditation
- Planning Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, and Webinars on Engineering, Pedagogy and Education-Technology
- Training Faculty and Staff on utilizing Education-Technology, E-learning and LMS
- Training Faculty on how to conduct Research and Hands on work.
V. Competencies
The participant is expected to demonstrate the following competencies: A person who has academic knowledge with a degree in higher education preferably in Geology & Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pedagogy, Education-technology and by necessity in other engineering disciplines and also has the ability to carry out the above mentioned tasks within the specified period of time.
