III. Objectives of Assignment

• To capacitate staff with knowledge and skills required to develop policies to enable them to develop policies related to crops.
• To facilitate the development of strategic direction/plan and policy for the Crops Division.
• To build the capacity of staff in the development of training manuals.

IV. Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Main tasks include:

• Desk review of MAFFS policies and strategies
• Training of staff on policy formulation techniques and development if
• Identification of strategic issues and direction for the Crops Division
• Development of Crops Division Policy
• Development of crops production training manuals
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervising officer.

• Ability to develop training manuals
• Ability to train staff in development of training manuals

VI. Education and Experience

• Master’s degree or professional qualification in Policy and Development with at least 5 years post graduate working experience in related field.
